Intonation Translations Shortlisted For Solent Business Award

6 Jul 2017

Intonation has been shortlisted for the “Dynamic Growth Award” at the 2017 Solent Business Awards. Sponsored by law firm Pitmans Law, the award is a recognition of the company’s outstanding performance in the last few years, including being named the “UK’s Fastest Growing Language Service Provider (LSP)” by the Association of Translation Companies in 2016.

According to Pitmans, “the award recognises and celebrates businesses that have demonstrated true innovation and the energy and passion for delivering change. As well as financial performance, we recognise those that have developed their workforce and maximised technological, commercial and merger and acquisition opportunities”.

Intonation’s Commercial Director Dan Peachey said “We are thrilled to have been nominated for this award and to be part of such a prestigious shortlist.  It’s great to get recognition for what is an incredibly hard-working team at Intonation”.  In recent years, the company has expanded from a team of 4 staff members to a current total of 22 and has seen turnover quadruple since 2011.  Asked about the company’s expansion, Dan pointed to Intonation’s recent acquisitions of UPS Translations, the UK’s oldest translation company at point of purchase, and WORDtrans, a market research specialist LSP.

In addition to Intonation’s acquisition policy, the company has seen diversification into other specialist areas, such as patent and sport translation. “The last few years have given us a real opportunity to refocus and ensure that we’re offering a quality service our clients want and keep coming back to and it’s really paid off.  Last year, our customer survey gave us a 100% client satisfaction rate and 9 of our top 10 clients have been with us for over 5 years- it’s great to know we’re doing things right”, Dan added.

The winners will be announced at a glittering, black-tie dinner hosted by celebrity Gyles Brandreth at the Hilton, Ageas Bowl in Southampton on October 19th.
